SUMMARY:Making Confidence Our Travel Companion Part 2 – Keeping ourselves and others safe from infection
DESCRIPTION:\n\n	This will be the second part of our two-part series of “Making Confidence Our Travel Companion.” This series’ goal is to build confidence in public transportation use when the risk of airborne transmission is high in the ongoing spread and mutations of SARS-Cov-2 and other airborne viruses and infections.\nAs the primary transmission route of SARS-Cov-2 is airborne, there has been a considerable decrease in public transportation ridership due to a concern about these spaces’ indoor air quality and high risk of transmission. In this session, we will consider and discuss how this drop in usage has affected organizations and public health.\nWe will consider factors such as:\nHow public transportation safety expectations have changed under new health risks of infection and even potential long-term illness related to the SARS-Cov-2 spread and mutations.\nThe reason why some people have been able to continue using public transportation without full risk assessment measures while others are taking longer to assess the risks and return to public transportation usage.\nJoin us as we consider how a balanced risk communication strategy around public transportation safety could be better achieved by disseminating and communicating the science to the public in a way that is easier to understand.\n	Confirmed Experts\n	\nMelissa Marot, PhD ( https://www.linkedin.com/in/drmelissamarot/ )\nOrganisational Psychologist\n\nLaurie Glossop ( https://www.linkedin.com/in/laurie-glossop-62568412/ )\nDirector at Glossop Consultancy\n\nLuke von Oldenburg ( https://www.linkedin.com/in/luke-von-oldenburg-a71a36134/ )\nCertified Industrial Hygienist – Certified Safety Professional – Certified Hazardous Material Manager\n \n	\nMitesh Kumar, MSc, MBA ( https://www.linkedin.com/in/kumarmitesh/ )\nExecutive Director at ORISON QEHS LLP\n`\nTed Cowan ( https://www.linkedin.com/in/edward-ted-cowan-48a3401b/ )\nSenior Recovery Specialist at DCMC Partners\n\n	\n.hopin-container { \n overflow: hidden;\n padding-top: 75.25%; \n position: relative;\n}\n.hopin-container iframe {\n border: 0;\n height: 100%;\n left: 0;\n position: absolute;\n top: 0;\n width: 100%;\n}\n\n\n
